Existential Synthesis / 2023 - 2025
In this series of twelve works created over a two year span, I explore humanity’s precarious relationship with nature and our self-imposed isolation from its realities. Set in surreal, urbane environments, the figures mirror humanity’s disconnection from nature, shielded by the artificial comforts of our self-serving habitats. Each work encourages viewers to confront our fragile constructs and consider reimagining humanity’s role—bound to the Earth rather than estranged from it. This body of work began in 2023 after traveling to Florence Italy the previous year and taking in the masterful works created during the Italian Renaissance art movement.
